![]() When MAME launches Area51 game, it searches in the roms folder for area.7z (or area.zip) and in the CHD folder for the CHD files area.chd. Pretty sure it is the same deal ROMS / CHD / MAME all matching version. Could you try to put roms and chds in two different folder like me, update your mame.ini config file. Ive checked the faq and also looked at the settings myself. If you're using commandline mame you need to generate one using the commandline. These CHD files need to be placed in same folder as ROMs. Change the directory to your mame folder C:\mame or wherever you've put it. MAME 0.78u5 DAT File: mame2003-lr-working-no-clones - Working romsets only. chd files is located within folders with the same name as the rom in your ROMS directory. For example the Blitz rom is in /ROM and the Blitz CHD file is in /ROM/BLITZ. I have the MAME file in the ROM folder and then I have the CHD file in the ROM folder inside their own folder. Ultimately, file syncing is best for MAME CHDs because of this issue, you can try and fit your MAME and Softlist Roms on your local machine, and then sync the massively larger CHDs when needed. ![]()
